FiveStar PR is proud to support Project Flamingo,
a South African NGO that brings hope & timely treatment to people
living with breast cancer.

In South Africa, breast cancer poses a significant threat, with 1 in every 8 women receiving a diagnosis in their lifetime. The situation becomes even more distressing for patients in the public health sector, facing long waiting periods for diagnosis and treatment.

At Project Flamingo, we firmly believe that every patient deserves timely treatment and heartfelt support, regardless of their circumstances. For over 13 years, we have turned this belief into action by providing life-saving surgeries and holistic care to those who need it most in the public health sector.

Our core program has impacted the lives of over 1285 people, bringing surgical treatment and courage to those on their challenging cancer journey. In addition, we have extended our support to over 13,585 newly diagnosed patients through self-care pamper packs, helping them navigate the uncertainties that come with battling breast cancer.

Recognizing the importance of reinforcing the existing public healthcare infrastructure, we go beyond surgeries and care. We provide specialist doctors, maintain essential medical equipment, and implement digital booking systems, making a tangible difference.

Project Flamingo stands as a beacon of hope, illuminating the lives of countless individuals in their darkest moments.

Yet, with the continuous flow of patients, our work is far from done.

Join us in our mission. There are various ways to support our cause and get involved, whether through donations, volunteering, or joining pamper pack sessions. Together, we can create a ripple effect of compassion and change the lives of breast cancer patients in South Africa.
